KS Games is my favorite Turkish puzzle brand and this one didn't disappoint.
This 19th-century colored engraving, titled Cavalry Barracks, on the Bosphorus, was drawn by English artist and architect Thomas Allom (1804–1872) and engraved by S. Fisher. Published around 1838–1841 in Robert Walsh’s travel volume Constantinople and the Scenery of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor Illustrated, the artwork depicts the historic Kuleli Military Barracks situated along the Asian shore of the Bosphorus in Çengelköy, Istanbul. Constructed during the reign of Sultan Mahmud II and expanded under Sultan Abdülmecid I, the building is anchored by its prominent twin clock towers, which gave the structure its name Kuleli ("with towers"). The scene highlights the grand waterfront architecture beside the Bosphorus, featuring traditional Ottoman rowboats (kayıks) on the water and figures dressed in 19th-century period attire gathered along the shore.
