This puzzle was printed on a black cardboard backing, which I found interesting. The random cut made this an enjoyable build.

While the pedestal and vase are clearly visible in the work, this is really a disguised portrait of his muse Marie-Thérèse Walter.

Still Life on Pedestal is a Cubist still life by Pablo Picasso, in which familiar objects are arranged on and around a pedestal-like support and fragmented into overlapping geometric forms. Rather than presenting the objects from a single viewpoint, Picasso breaks them apart and shows different angles simultaneously, creating a deliberately flattened and compressed sense of space. The muted palette and angular shapes emphasize the structure of the composition, while recognizable details—such as vessels and other tabletop objects—remain partially visible within the abstraction. The work demonstrates Picasso's continuing exploration of Cubism and his interest in challenging conventional ideas of perspective and pictorial space.
